RULES

  1. All game are Blitz 5, meaning each player will have 5 total minutes to complete their moves.
  2. Each match must have a winner.
  3. Each match requires a $1, $2, $5, or $10 entry fee per player.
  4. The rake (7.5%) is applied to the total pot.
  5. The first player who runs out of time before checkmate occurs, loses the game.
  6. There are no draws or stalemates.
  7. A player may resign thereby being declared the loser of the match.
  8. A forfeit or loss will occur if a player exits the game before completion.
  9. There are no stalemates or draws. A contest winner may be automatically declared by the chess engine, based on advantage, position or points.
  10. All games must be completed on the device they began on. Switching devices forfeits the game and contest amount.
  11. The use of artificial assistance or third-party assistance is strictly prohibited. Cheating or attempting to cheat on the ChessKings platform is a felony criminal act and will be reported for prosecution in all local, state and federal jurisdictions.
  12. Players are allowed one account only. Creating multiple accounts will result in permanent removal from the platform.
  13. Each player is responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection. If you lose your connection due to your device or service area, you lose the match. If the app crashes due to a platform issue, you will have a limited window to rejoin and continue the game. The clock continues to run during any disconnection.
  14. Game Disputes are subject to the Terms of Service of ChessKings’ underlying peer-to-peer contest technology provider.
